Jennifer Hudson, did win big - but lost big, too, because of the much ridiculed metallic bolero Andre Leon Talley made her put on. (Post fashion editor Serena French said it made her look "lost in space.") "Jennifer was kind of sponsored by Talley and Vogue," said one fashionista. "Andre insisted she wear that hideous Oscar de la Renta dress with the awful, awful gold python bolero.
"Jennifer really didn't want to, and so [noted stylist] Jessica Paster got her a beautiful gold Roberto Cavalli custom-made. But when Andre found out, he went ballistic. Moments before she left for the show, there was a power struggle and Jennifer ended up putting his outfit on."

Oscar Night!! Best/Worst Dressed
Winners:
Best Picture: The Departed
Best Director: Martin Scorese
Best Actor: Forest Whitaker
Best Actress: Helen Mirren
Best Supporting Actress: Jennifer Hudson
Best Supporting Actor: Alan Arkin
Seriously, why are the fashion critics always the worst dressed? I'm talking to you Jay Manuel!
I started with Worst Dressed and saved the Best Dressed for last......
Worst Dressed: Winner: Best Supporting Actress
Jennifer Hudson-who was her stylist?? Nice BOLERO! Gorgeous makeup though-nice eyes. Jennifer wore a python cropped jacket over an Oscar de la Renta chocolate chiffon gown and Fred Leighton diamonds-hate this.

Jessica Biel really didn't hit the nail on the head in this hot pink long dress with black belt, horrible Oscar de la Renta gown. Plus, her hair was so stiff, with a little tiny bun. Awful.

Kirsten Dunst looks like an old lady in this silver frock. Feathers on the bottom makes this dress look like an old lady's nightgown. Looks like KD didn't put a lot of effort in her look tonight.....

Nicole Kidman looks ok....other than that Christmas bow on her neck. She looks so slim in this crimson silk crepe Balenciaga column dress.

Kate Winslet's pastel green one shoulder Valentino gown accented with gold jewels and gold metallic Rickard Shah shoes, was the wrong colour choice for her complexion. Her hair was bad, pulled bun.

Meryl Streep had awful hair, and wore a Bohemian/geisha style, black wrap. It was awful, awful, awful-Miranda Priestly would be horrified. Do I even have to go there about the necklace??

Best Dressed:
Reese Witherspoon-pure elegance in a layered chiffon gown from Nina Ricci. Stunning.

Potia de le Rossi-turned heads on the red carpet in a sexy navy gown with an open back. Elegantly braided straps added drama to the clean silhouette of her dress, and a fuss-free ponytail with soft curls kept her look pretty and modern.

Rachel Weisz-She looked stunning in a silver Vera Wang strapless gown with a sweeping train of satin and tulle. Her gorgeous deep cranberry lipstick, the beautiful detailing on the front of the dress.....but I hate that 'pineapple' necklace. It's a vintage Cartier pendant, not sure what the shape is yet......

Cameron Diaz-shoulder baring white gown with a dramatic fold-over top and asymmetrical fishtail train. She accessorized her look with a silver clutch, bejeweled bangles and peep-toe pumps. She wore a whopping $2.9 million worth of Cartier jewelry.

Gwenyth Paltrow-looks sizzling in this apricot tulle and chiffon Zac Posen gown. She looks fantastic! Her lipstick goes PERFECTLY!

Isla Fisher-sets off her red hair with an emerald green satin corset gown from Monique Lhuillier. LOVE IT!

Maggie Gyllenhaal looking fantastic in a single-shouldered Proenza Schouler sheath gown in black and midnight blue with a feather-trimmed hem. Maggie just had a baby! She looks great! This dress looked even better on stage!

Cate Blanchett-in a shimmering Armani gown in gunmetal gray with a single embellished shoulder strap. Also a stunning look, looked awesome on stage.

Oh Enzo.....you never let me down!
So, back in October on one of my frequent visits to Nine West, I spotted the most gorgeous shoes EVER. My Enzo Angeolini's, peep toe, in brown satin!! Owning at least a few pairs of Enzo's in the past, they are by far the most comfortable heels you will ever wear!
I've been dying to post a photo of them. I kept a close eye on them, and to my surprise in December (!) they went on SALE! How does that happen? I totally lucked out. I tried looking for these shoes online to show everyone, but was freaking, because I couldn't find them ANYWHERE. Anyway, behold the beauty. I recently just wore them to my friend's wedding with my brown dress. They were a hit! Love, LOVE, LOVE!!
Care by Stella McCartney
Stella McCartney, not only a hot shot designer, she also just introduced a luxury line of organic skincare. Formulated with 100 percent organic active ingredients. Care by Stella McCartney, is a unique range of ethical and effective skincare products that combines the ultimate in pampering and nature to give your skin everything it needs.
This range of skincare challenges the more conventional, chemical-based line. The fragrance is also made from 100 percent organic essential oils, so your skin can really benefit from nature's resources.
So it's organic, that we know. Now for the price of organic, you guessed it. Ex-pon-sive! For the "trial-sized" 5 Benefits Moisturizing Cream, Nourishing Elixir, Radiance & Youth Elixir, and Calming & Soothing Elixir you are looking at about $45.00 CAN. Never mind if you want to splurge on the "full sized" product, you are looking at spending at least $90 CAN on the 5 Benefits Moisturizing Cream alone. Imagine, to have a disposable income!!
(I will be getting the travel size stuff...I'll let you know how my skin reacts. It will probably love it and I will go broke!)
