At first I wasn’t going to name any names here, but we both found this story so hilarious, that I will mention her name. My lovely sister Christe had attended a huge Italian wedding back in September a couple of years ago. The people at her table were urging her to try the chili peppers. After saying, “ok, ok!”, she oddly had put some in her purse for later.

Fast forward-four months later. After COMPLETELY forgetting about the chili peppers in the forgotten clutch, they shriveled up and turned to dust. Basically my sister had chili powder amongst her MAKEUP! Not thinking anything of it, she tried to merely dust the powder out of her purse with her hand. Again, not paying attention, she started to touch up her makeup with chili powder fingers. She started to put eye shadow on and SURPRISE, her eyes started to burn. Panicking, she flew back to the bathroom is find her eyes were red, and thinking she had an allergic reaction to the eye shadow, 'Dumb Dumb' realized she had chilies in her purse. :)

New York based salon Bliss, has a new innovative line called the "The Youth As We Know It" collection.

The Bliss exclusive anti-aging collection includes a creamy cleanser, a gel toner, a skin plumping serum with radiance boosters, moisture cream to hydrate and a powerhouse eye cream with 10 eye-beautifying ingredients.

The whole Youth set is retailing at $262, which is not bad considering everything you are getting and it also includes a handy tote. I personally have not yet tried this product, but have used Bliss in the past and it has done wonders for my skin.

Don't think that just 20-30 somethings can benefit from this product, mature skin can also see favourable results from this collection.

Brows

So full brows are making quite the come back-Keira Knightly, America Ferrera and Beyonce are all rocking a full brow. I've found a few products to keep your brows in place.

MAC's Brow Set in "Show Off" and Benefit's "Brow Zings".

Some tips to get the look:

Leave them alone. Let brows grow in for at least two weeks.
Get rid of strays. Pluck only the hairs that fall well outside your natural shape.
Trim. Brush hairs straight up and use cuticle scissors to even them out.
Enhance. Choose a gel, powder or pencil one shade lighter than the darkest part of your hair.
Or, you can always get your eyebrows waxed and shaped by a professional.

Paradise in a Bottle

There's nothing better than the smell of "summer". Whether it be that gorgeous smell of coconut or the sweet smell of freesia or honeysuckle. Whatever your "summer" fix is for the winter blahs, perhaps dabble in True Blue Spa's "Glow & Steady" a daily moisturizer, SPF 15 and gradual self tanner. Smells AMAZING! I usually start with L'Oreal's Sublime spray on self tanner, and maintain with Glow and Steady. The colour is a deep bronze, never orange.

Other self tanners have that awful DHA smell, but this product reminds me of the beach. The scent lasts on your skin all day, and also has a lot of moisturizer in it to keep your skin hydrated. I noticed with a lot of self tanners, especially in the winter, really contributes to dry skin.

Glow and Steady Daily Moisturizer and Gradual Self Tanner SPF for Body has been endorsed and recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation. This is a great product for using all year long and safe. It can be purchased online or in store from Bath & Body Works.

Tips to Applying a Gorgeous Self Tan:

Skin Preparation - If you have dry skin--and most of us do when it comes to arms and legs--start prepping a few days before applying the tanning product. Moisturize two to three times a day, especially right after bathing. Use a gentle exfoliant all over three days beforehand as well as the day of applying self-tanner (beforehand). Also, apply a thick salve-like cream to especially dry parts like elbows, knees and hands and let it soak in to soften skin. Self-tanner will "grab" on especially dry areas and look unnatural, so get those areas softened before proceeding.
Before Applying - Test the self-tanner on an inconspicuous part of your body (like the inner elbow) before slathering it on all over. I know you never test, even though you are always warned you that you must, but trust me on this one. Self-tanner doesn't wash off easily at all. Testing will save you from having an hilarious story that you won't find funny.
Start with clean dry skin - Give yourself a few minutes if you've just bathed to ensure that your skin is completely dry. Do not apply any lotion/moisturizer, you might get uneven patches that will be hard to correct. Also, with dry, unmoisturized skin, it will be easier for you to tell if you've missed a spot.
Work Quickly - Whether it's spray, cream or gel, the key is to work quickly and evenly. Cover a single area all at once. If you're doing a leg, don't do the lower leg, then the knee and then the thigh; do the entire leg at once. Use enough self-tanner so that you can get the whole leg at once, working quickly. (It's good to practice with lotion a few days before, just so that you're used to quick, all over coverage.) And work evenly. I've found that downward, fanning strokes worked best for even coverage.
Go lightly on knees, ankles, elbows and chest
These are the areas that typically have dry skin patches, so just barely brush over them. You can always apply more if you want.
Wash hands often. If you're doing your whole body so that you won't have tan lines, wash the palms of your hands at least once during the application. This stuff works fast. Your palms will have the most exposure, which is another reason to work quickly. And absolutely wash your hands when you're finished. You want colour on the top of your hands, but you don't want your cuticles and palms to look like you've been playing in wood stain. Rub your hands with soap, and rinse both top and bottom of hands, and use a fingernail brush lightly on their cuticles (if you have a fingernail brush that is).
Don't touch anything! The instructions on some of these products state that you can dress immediately or within 30 minutes of application, but most suggest waiting one to two hours. I usually wait around 10 minutes depending on the product. If you feel "dry" then you probably are. Otherwise paint your nails, fix your hair, and let at least an hour go by before putting something on. And don't sit on any white sheets or furniture (just sit on a dark-colored towel).
Don't Shower! Ever again. Just kidding. But wait at least three hours before swimming or showering.

Maintenance Your tan will last a long time if you continue to use the product. It will start to fade once you discontinue use (obviously). You don't have to wait for your entire tan to be gone before reapplying. When you first begin to notice that your color is fading, go ahead and reapply. Reapplying will also give you a better idea of how dark you can go.

Absolutely Heavenly

I know, it's been a while since my last post, but I have a few things in the works to be posted soon.

First and foremost, how lovely is the Victoria's Secret "Heavenly" line? I was rummaging in my cream drawers and stumbled across last summer's fragrant creams that I put away. What a delight to find the Heavenly Angel Touch Lotion! The scent is amazing. I completely forgot about it! Which reminds me-go through the products drawer. Can't wait for my next long lost discovery! (ha!)

As described on the website, "this cream nourishes and conditions skin. Is lightly scented."

Lightly scented? After I had a shower I could still smell it! You do not need both the perfume and the lotion if you are a layering type of gal.

Fragrance type: vanilla oriental
Ingredients: wild ivy, mandarin, waterlily, white peony, freesia, iris,
violet, poppy and orchid vanilla.

Honestly you only need a little bit. You could wear it day or night, but I prefer to wear it in the evening.

Trend: The Nude Lip

Anyone else notice the nude lip trend? I am all over it. I think it looks AMAZING with a great tan. Dark smoky eye with a nude lip. GORGEOUS! Jennifer Lopez works this look flawlessly.

My absolute favourite right now is Smashbox's Lip gloss in "Pixel". The formula is so moisturizing, I don't even need a coat of lip conditioner before I apply. It a very subtle light pink, almost iridescent. I use it for everyday.

Another wonderful colour is Nars Lipstick in "Sexual Healing". This one is an iridescent golden pink. If you haven't tried any Nars products, please do so. The lipstick, lip gloss, and eye shadows are fabulous. I love MAC, god knows I love MAC, but Nars takes it to the next level. Highly concentrated, wearable, beautiful makeup. However, in comparison to MAC, you will be paying well over $30 for a lipstick at Nars. You know in magazines where they do the "splurge" or "realistic" comparison? Well here you go. Eh, you live once right?

Another new colour Nars released from the Summer 2007 Collection-"Striptease". It's shiny, non sticky, and highly moisturizing. The lip glosses, come in over 35 shades. Nars is available at Sephora Toronto, and Holt's.

The nude lip look is freeing, refreshing and unpretentious. Try a pink-ginger tone if you're pale-skinned, or an bronze-gold tone if you are dark-skinned.

For the dark skinned ladies try MAC's Plushglass in "Wet, Wild, Wonderful". It's sheer lip colour with a pearlized high-shine gloss finish. It visibly plumps the lips to make them look luxuriously healthy and well-conditioned. Contains vitamin E for added environmental protection. Secret ingredient to plump lips? Cayenne Pepper. Just telling you what I heard from a MAC artist! Don't worry, it doesn't hurt, but it really plumps!! (Right Dani?)

Just Plane Pretty

Travelling this summer? European vacation perhaps? Well, I am, and I am trying to decide what the heck to bring in my carry on for that 6-9 hours of travel. Being in the air can leave you dehydrated, tired and puffy. Not good.

Try to prepare. Try to eat lightly and exercise before travel. I try to avoid salty foods which can cause you to retain water and swell up. The night before get your skin ready for the stress of recycled air. Try a hydrating mask, tone, and ensure you wear a rich moisturizing cream for overnight. The next morning, cleanse and apply moisturizer to damp skin. Keep your makeup very light. Wear just the bare minimum. You are going to want to keep reapplying moisturizer throughout the flight, so skip the foundation. Instead, try a light cream blush, concealer, and a tinted lip gloss to trap moisture.

Drink up. No, I don't mean a cocktail. Your body dehydrates 3 times faster when you are in the air. Ensure you drink a lot of water, water, water. Buy a 1.5 to 2 litre bottle of water and drink it continuously over the course of the flight. Pack some tea bags for when the cart comes around. Your skin will thank you when you deplane.

What to bring:

My sister and I love the travel sized Evian Mineral Water Spray. Spray directly on your face and it instantly revives your skin, and counteracts travel fatigue.

Philosophy, (available at Sephora) has a wonderful set called "Miracle Worker" which has everything you need in travel sized bottles. It includes a facial cleanser, daily moisturizer, perfumed shower gel, shampoo & conditioner, and a foot and hand cream. Hands are also very important to keep hydrated. As long as everything fits in a sandwich sized ziploc bag, you are good to go.

Don't forget your body butter! I tend to skip the perfume and opt for a scented body butter. My favorite? Sephora's Body Butters-Whipped Body Delights. The Coconut Nectar scent is summer in a jar! So yummy!

Hair. Don't forget your baby travel brush, some hair spray, and hair elastics. When I'm basking in the sun in the French Riviera, you better believe my hair will be in a bun at the top on of head in a big ol' floppy hat. While in the ocean, protect your hair from the sun with Aveda's Brilliant Damage Control. Helps to protect against UV damage.

Sun Block. What's this? Well, considering when I go to the "sunblock area" in the drugstore, I go straight to the Hawaiian Tropic Dark Tanning Oil, I thought I better do some research on sun protection. I hear the sun is very different in Europe. I think I may need a 30 SPF.

Other items that would be worth bringing in your bag: a small travel pillow. Do you really want to use the ones on the plane? No. Dirty. Face mask for your eyes for when you go for a snooze in total darkness. Toothbrush and toothpaste to brush before you land, and most importantly your iPod and a good book. If you bring a small part of the comforts of home, I find you will ultimately enjoy your experience a whole lot better.

MAC SUNDRESSING

Wow, how can you tell summer is here? Considering my apartment's temperature wouldn't go down under 75 degrees, and the duvet is officially off the bed, and I'm going bare legged to work, I would say, yessss! Finally!

So, with that said, and you can tell from my recent posts, that I am completely infatuated in looking tanned. I love wearing white and bright colours this time of year to even heighten the "illusion" in looking darker than I really am.

Last summer, I bought 2 bottles of the MAC SUNDRESSING. It's an amazing product. Better than the Smashbox Body Lights Bronzer

It's a soft mousse formula, that dispenses onto the skin via a pump. DO NOT be afraid of this product. It actually looks like chocolate syrup when it comes out of the pump, but it blends so nicely, and it smells delightful! You can use this everywhere! Spreads easily over face, legs, arms, shoulders and décolletage and it's water resistant. It's wonderful for those nights out when you are wearing a skirt or shorts and you want your legs to look really dark. Don't bother wearing this product when it's extremely humid. It will pill off and make you look like you have DIRT on your skin! HA!

Available in 4 shades. Medium, Medium Dark, Dark and Deep Dark (best one). About $22.00 for the bottle at MAC.

Aveeno Continuous Radiance

I really enjoy Aveeno's Continuous Radiance lotion. The formula combines natural soy with a subtle color enhancer to help even out skin tone and texture while gradually deepening skin's natural color, for visibly healthy and natural-looking skin that's not orange or streaky. The exclusive formula also helps smooth out skin's imperfections -- bringing out skin's natural radiance.

I've tried a lot of moisturizing "gradual" skin enhancers, but I've found that they are really smelly, greasy, or you have to wait too long to see the colour. I've used the lotion for 3 days now and noticed the colour is nice golden brown. I use it on my face too.

It's a wonderful moisturizer for morning and before bed. I am fair-skinned, but I tried this in "Medium" instead of fair. At $8.99 at Shoppers Drug Mart or any drugstore, I think that is fairly priced compared to similar products. The product just looks like any other Aveeno lotion and is not in any special "tanner" location.

The creamy white lotion goes on smoothly and blends quickly. The colour is quite good, similar to the other "daily radiance lotions" I've tried but maybe a tad more brown/realistic on me (instead of orange or yellow-toned like some). It seemed to develop rather quickly and without any obvious streaks or blotches. I've been using self-tanners over a decade now and I must say that the daily lotions are perfect for a slight tan without a lot of mistakes and hassle, and they are also good if you are just starting to try self-tanning.

Tanning Bed in a Tube?

Well, there is... sort of! A safe tanning bed. Introducing Too Faced's Tanning Bed in a Tube.
"Tanning Bed in a Tube" is an instant gel bronzer, with a gradual self-tanner built right in.

While, I'm a big fan of spray self tanners, this one is a gel, and I found the texture and the application very easy, and no streaks, which is OBVIOUSLY important!

Too Faced's Tanning Bed in a Tube is $22.50 at Sephora. I spent only 10 minutes at Sephora yesterday, however I managed to also check out the rest of the Too Faced Summer Line. Stay tuned!

Did I mention how much I loved summer and being tanned??? (Artifically of course, when I can.)

I Heart the Mediterranean

First of all when you think Elizabeth Arden, you think HARD, AWFUL, HURT YOUR HEAD perfume.....Well, that's what I think of at least, because I associate Elizabeth Arden with the Red Door fragrance. Which in my opinion just HORRIBLY STRONG!

Normally, I'm really big on scented lotion for my everyday "scent" rather then a full on perfume. However......I am IN LOVE with Elizabeth Arden's new fragrance Mediterranean. It's a very pretty, floral, feminine, romantic, spring-like scent. Perfect, for summer!

Here is what they have described the scent to smell like on the website:

While, I'm a little hesitant to put away my MAC Turquatic , I've been wearing the Mediterranean since yesterday and it hasn't messed with my nose or given me a headache.

Choosing your Scent:

The strength of scents varies with the percentage of essential oils and how much they are diluted. Perfume bases are 78% to 95% denatured ethyl alcohol, and essential oils make up the rest of the scent. Scents are broken up into the following categories according to strength of scent: Perfume is the most expensive, and is made up of about 22% of essential oils. Eau de Parfum is the next in line and is 15-22% essential oils. Finally, Eau de Toilette is 8-15% of essential oils, and Eau de Cologne is about 4% essential oils.

Every fragrance has three perfume notes – top, middle and base. The top note is what you smell right after application (mostly alcohol) and lasts for one minute. The body of the perfume is the middle note, which is acquired 5 to 30 minutes after application. The base note is how the scent smells after mixing with your skin and body, and is produced two hours after application. These three perfume notes are the reason why you should not purchase perfumes simply because they smelled lovely on someone else. Everyone’s skin will react differently with a perfume, producing middle and base notes unique to individual body chemistry. At the perfume counter, spray the perfume directly onto your skin rather than on the sample cardboards, and do not smell it directly from the bottle. After you have spritzed yourself, wait 30 seconds to smell the scent so that you do not get a whiff primarily of alcohol.

Like wine, perfume needs some time to breathe and open up. If you are still unsure what perfume is best after spraying 10 different types, ask for a sample to take home. Once you find the perfect scent, go back and make the purchase. Also, ask the perfume salesperson for coffee beans, not to munch on, but to smell in between each perfume to neutralize the smells. That way, you will smell each individual smell, not a mixture of smells.

I stumbled across this website while looking for a fitness regime to put on my iPod. While at the gym, I noticed a girl beside me on the bike watching her iPod. Jennifer Connelly looks absolutely gorgeous in this photo that was in Marie Claire's January 2007 issue.

Can we discuss her hair? Love it! I LOOOOVE big hair. Her eyes are perfectly darkened and those lips! I need to know what is on her lips. Ugh, so 60's. Did I mention I love this photo?! I wonder if i can replicate this somehow.......hmmmm. :)

Jennifer Lopez wore a encrusted lilac silk Marchesa gown, Lorraine Schwartz diamond earrings and pinned-up curls. Her hair was really bad, and not a nice colour dress colour at all! She is usually stunning.....not tonight!

Penelope Cruz-The bottom of her dress looks like a blanket! She does have nice hair though, and nice snowflake diamond earrings. Sorry, I think Versace's dusty rose strapless gown for P doesn't work!

Kelly Preston-leopard for the Oscars? Dreadful. Dolce & Gabbana really missed the mark on this one. (Nice toupe John)

Jessica Biel really didn't hit the nail on the head in this hot pink long dress with black belt, horrible Oscar de la Renta gown. Plus, her hair was so stiff, with a little tiny bun. Awful.

Kirsten Dunst looks like an old lady in this silver frock. Feathers on the bottom makes this dress look like an old lady's nightgown. Looks like KD didn't put a lot of effort in her look tonight.....

Nicole Kidman looks ok....other than that Christmas bow on her neck. She looks so slim in this crimson silk crepe Balenciaga column dress.

Kate Winslet's pastel green one shoulder Valentino gown accented with gold jewels and gold metallic Rickard Shah shoes, was the wrong colour choice for her complexion. Her hair was bad, pulled bun.

Meryl Streep had awful hair, and wore a Bohemian/geisha style, black wrap. It was awful, awful, awful-Miranda Priestly would be horrified. Do I even have to go there about the necklace??

Best Dressed:
Reese Witherspoon-pure elegance in a layered chiffon gown from Nina Ricci. Stunning.

Potia de le Rossi-turned heads on the red carpet in a sexy navy gown with an open back. Elegantly braided straps added drama to the clean silhouette of her dress, and a fuss-free ponytail with soft curls kept her look pretty and modern.

Rachel Weisz-She looked stunning in a silver Vera Wang strapless gown with a sweeping train of satin and tulle. Her gorgeous deep cranberry lipstick, the beautiful detailing on the front of the dress.....but I hate that 'pineapple' necklace. It's a vintage Cartier pendant, not sure what the shape is yet......

Cameron Diaz-shoulder baring white gown with a dramatic fold-over top and asymmetrical fishtail train. She accessorized her look with a silver clutch, bejeweled bangles and peep-toe pumps. She wore a whopping $2.9 million worth of Cartier jewelry.

Jada Pinket Smith-dazzled in a copper strapless gown with corset styling by Carolina Herrera.

Helen Mirren: Winner Best Actress

Looked very nice in a floral print Christian Lacroix gown topped with embroidered lace and, in back, and a jaw-dropping 62-carat diamond broach.

Gwenyth Paltrow-looks sizzling in this apricot tulle and chiffon Zac Posen gown. She looks fantastic! Her lipstick goes PERFECTLY!

Isla Fisher-sets off her red hair with an emerald green satin corset gown from Monique Lhuillier. LOVE IT!

Maggie Gyllenhaal looking fantastic in a single-shouldered Proenza Schouler sheath gown in black and midnight blue with a feather-trimmed hem. Maggie just had a baby! She looks great! This dress looked even better on stage!

Cate Blanchett-in a shimmering Armani gown in gunmetal gray with a single embellished shoulder strap. Also a stunning look, looked awesome on stage.

Mediocre Dressed:

Beyonce-wore Armani. Not a big fan of this dress at all. Funny thing is, this dress is a light mint-green, but obviously it photographed white.....

So, back in October on one of my frequent visits to Nine West, I spotted the most gorgeous shoes EVER. My Enzo Angeolini's, peep toe, in brown satin!! Owning at least a few pairs of Enzo's in the past, they are by far the most comfortable heels you will ever wear!

I've been dying to post a photo of them. I kept a close eye on them, and to my surprise in December (!) they went on SALE! How does that happen? I totally lucked out. I tried looking for these shoes online to show everyone, but was freaking, because I couldn't find them ANYWHERE. Anyway, behold the beauty. I recently just wore them to my friend's wedding with my brown dress. They were a hit! Love, LOVE, LOVE!!

For those of you who know me, know that I try to emulate some form of a tan year round. I have probably tried every single self tanner there is known to mankind. Well, just about. How did I miss this all this time? MAC's Pro Longwear Lustre Lipcolour is a wonderful product. My favourite colour? "PreenSheen". Gorgeous.

A two-step application of lightweight colour with a glossy top coat. Apply the colour, and wait a few minutes to let it dry. Follow up with the sheer gloss. It will provide sheer to medium coverage with a rich, lustrous, moisturizing finish. Eat, drink, whatever! The colour will last all day! Won’t shift, transfer, feather or smudge.

You will probably run out of the gloss before the actual colour. MAC sells the glosses separately.

When Sephora first opened in Toronto, I was in cosmetics heaven. My girlfriend and I waited in line for the “grand opening”. There was a slew of press there, drinks, the whole nine.

Not only did we not even talk to each other as we browsed, we were exposed to products that had to either be special ordered from a specialty store in Yorkville (talk about expensive), or ordered online at US prices.

Upon reluctantly leaving the store (at closing), we receieved a whole slew of testers. We also got a GOODIE bag on our way out. Sephora put together complementary gift bags for every customer. It was like opening your stocking on Christmas morning when you are 8. In my bag was not only testers, but full size products included! In that bag was products that I never even dreamed of. Ah....what a great day that was.

MAC Couture Line

So, I've kinda being sitting on this purchase, and wanting to talk about it for a while now. On a usual lazy Saturday, Ronny and I will walk about Queen St and visit our usual stores. His bookstores, and my makeup jaunts to MAC. "I'll be at MAC" and we part ways. He'll often wander inside MAC and see me with an artist trying something new. On this particular day, I hit the jackpot......my birthday present.

MAC released a "Couture" line of 4 highlighting eye shadows, 4 various shades of "Mystery Pressed Powder", 4 luxurious lipsticks and 4 wonderful lip glasses. The signature packaging is a sell in itself. It is extremely heavy in weight, (for a compact). The black, square compact, embossed with tiny little squares on the top give the look of luxury. The eye shadows have the same packaging, in a smaller version. The lipsticks are in a silvery black, also square package that looks significantly different than it's "regular" lipstick counterparts. ($26.00)

For my b-day I received:

The gorgeous Candy Apple Red (to the left) lipstick. A long lasting, very sexy red, that will go with just about every little black dress event. The Mystery Pressed Powder, which also has a second (gasp!) pop in compact ready to go underneath once you complete the first one. The powder is a velvety matte, luminous finish that give your skin a flawless complexion. It should, it retails at $54.00!!

The eye shadows- a highly luxurious, metallic, slightly emollient, highlighter that strokes on the skin with such a cream-like smoothness, it looks as if it’s been poured on. Provides intensely brilliant multi-dimensional highlight effects in just one stroke. Layers up to maximize metallic impact. The "Rare and Refined" pink coloured one is beautiful underneath brows and on cheeks. LOVE IT. Retails at $26.00

Love Clinque

Clinique has just released a cutsey box of Happy perfume just in time for Valentine's Day. The box is too pretty for words. The "Happy" scent reminds me of spring/summer. That warm, pick me up scent is perfect for the long winter.

I'm a Barbie Girl!

As mentioned to my girlfriends in a mass e-mail last week, MAC and Mattel will be collaborating for the Barbie Loves MAC campaign. The line will be in stores February 13th. I've already made my list. If you want to get any of this stuff, get it while it lasts, because it will be last you ever see of it. The best pink lipstick I ever got was Playboy for MAC in "Playboy Pink", about 4 years ago. I still have the original packaging. The lipstick is broken inside the tube. I only take it out on the weekends and special occasions. There still hasn't been a pink quite like it out there. Perhaps Barbie's "Real Doll" bubblegum pink will do the trick.

The new Lancome 2007 Pop Cherub Spring Collection is now available. I checked it out at the counter and the lovely 5-color palette of ethereal shades, from soft pastels to romantic earth tones, are gorgeous. The Mousse Blush (above) is a luxurious whipped-mousse formula that glides on effortlessly and blends smoothly for natural radiant color. Get the "Subtle Fluff" pink blush for that "just out of the cold" flushed look.

My favourite lipstick in the Lancome line right now, is the Colour Fever Lipstick in S.O.S. Pink. It has a hydrating formula that stays true with no feathering or fading. My lips get so chapped this time of year, wearing lipstick is inpossible for me without a lip conditioner. I found this lipstick to stay on for a reasonable amount of time, and most importantly didn't chap my lips!
